With Berlin Night After Glow, German photographer Chris Noltekuhlmann set out to chronicle one of the world’s most mythologized cultural ecosystems. He invited hundreds of people active in nightlife to his Moabit studio, where he photographed bouncers, scientists, lawyers, fashion designers, architects, DJs, and countless others—often in the immediate aftermath of long nights out. The result is an intimate body of work that challenges stereotypes about nightlife in Berlin while honoring those who give the culture its pulse.
